I had big plans to go on a long beach walk this morning, but after waking up with a solid handful of errands to run, I decided the walk could wait. Even though the clouds were rolling in, I grabbed a quick bowl of my usual fruit and almond butter and rushed out the door. By the time I got back I decided I was too energized for a simple walk on the beach, so I grabbed my sneakers and went on a run around the neighborhood. Unfortunately for me, Mother Nature decided to be sneaky and let loose a torrential downpour right as I was mid-run. I came back into my house very soggy, cursing the cloud gods.
Once I was safely back inside and dried-off I thought the worst was over. The the skies had cleared and my stomach began to rumble, so I grabbed a banana and then finished off a bowl of cherries. Very casual. In order to digest before dinner, I make the executive decision to take advantage of the clearer skies and hit the beach--an excellent choice, I finished my walk right before the rains came again.

An actual picture I took on my walk, it was a very "zen" moment for me |
When I got back to the house I still wasn't very hungry, but my brother texted to ask me to join him and our family friends for Japanese food. Who was I to refuse? I wasn't really feeling a rice overload so sushi was out of the question (a very rare occurrence for me, so I definitely must have been full), but I made up for the "no sushi" by ordering seaweed salad and a delicious shrimp and avocado salad. Once we got home I had a craving for something sweet, so I ended my night with a couple scoops of Golden Raisins: my (now-not-so) secret addiction.

The seaweed salad was a nice appetizer, but the shrimp and avocado salad really won this round |
