So it's been a few days since I've had a good treadmill run, and my body is feeling the effects of it. I've been more sluggish, irritable, and I've been snapping at people because I haven't had a positive outlet for some of my frustrations. So today, I knew that had to change.
I planned my morning this way: I would have anthropology class, meet my friend at the gym for 40 minutes, and then head to my next class. The only issue? WHERE DO I FIT IN FOOD?! I knew I had to fuel up early in the morning so it would last me until after my second class. Here's where my super protein-filled breakfast came in.
I had my usual oatmeal (1/4 cup quick-oats), 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 2 tablespoons wheat germ, pineapple, blueberries, and rasberries. BUT I DIDN'T STOP THERE. I steamed a handful of broccoli & also mixed in 2 egg whites. I made a perfect, healthy egg scramble.
This plus my usual oatmeal was SO filling!
I ate my breakfast at around 9:30, and here it is at 2:24 and my stomach is JUST beginning to rumble. My run this morning was amazing; I ran for about 35 minutes before I had to head to my next class. I walked in as a sweaty mess! It was understandable no one wanted to sit near me...
To quell my rumbly tumbly I swiped a large apple from my dining hall and will munch that on the way to my last class of the day! I'm feeling good, and I can't wait for spring break soon!
SPRING BREAK IN 2 DAYS!! I GET TO SEE MY TWIN SOON :)
